HPD Crime data
|
|
CH is not affiliated with the Houston Police Department. CH
uses crime data obtained from HPD's
Web site, The
HPD data is available to the public in database format and can be
found at
http://www.houstontx.gov/police/stats.htm User must read HPD's
discussion on uses and application of their data also located at
http://www.houstontx.gov/police/stats.htm

Geocoding
|
|
CH uses geocoding to convert addresses to map coordinates. This process
is accurate but not exact. Errors including failure to geocode and geocoding
to incorrect address can occur.
|
Mapping |
|
CH uses maps based on U.S. Census Bureau Tiger Line Data. This data
is known to have inaccuracies. The Census Bureau is continually updating their
files to improve acuracy.
